Dr Andrea C. Issler-Fisher is a renowned expert in burn scar reconstruction with significant academic contributions. A graduate of the University of Zurich’s Faculty of Medicine in Switzerland, she furthered her expertise with an MD thesis in Burn Surgery at the same institution. She successfully undertook the EBOPRAS (European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery) fellowship examination and completed her PhD in Reconstructive Burn Surgery at the University of Sydney. In 2015, she established the Burn Scar Clinic at Concord Hospital, introducing a pioneering treatment approach that garnered awards such as the NSW Premier’s Award for Improving Service Levels in Hospitals and the Anthea Kerr Award for Individual Excellence. Andrea’s commitment has culminated in her role as the driving force behind Scarless – The Clinic, where she dedicates her expertise and time to transformative scar management.
